Come to the Second Life launch of the 2009 Women of Outstanding Achievement in Science, Engineering and Technology Photographic Exhibition at the Elucian Islands http://slurl.com/secondlife/Elucian%20Islands/93/218/22 .
Entry is free and you can enjoy a glass of free virtual champagne whilst listening to our speakers:
This striking photographic exhibition shows six women who, in different ways, have shown outstanding leadership and achievement in the fields of science, engineering and technology.
Taken by professional photographer Robert Taylor, they raise the profile of the key contribution made by women scientists, engineers and technologists.
Join us for the launch event that will include some of the WoOA winners of 2009 and earlier years.
A relaxed opportunity to view the photos, network and - for newcomers to Second Life - to try out new skills.
Held at the high quality, high profile island run by Nature Publishing Group and MacMillan Publishers.
6.15 - 7.30pm UK time.
More information will be sent to delegates, including the link to the Second Life venue.
